This poster is incredible.   Tribe, Snoop, Lauryn, Rakim, KRS-One, etc.  You have to be kidding.  If you’re a fan of classic hip-hop and live in one of the lucky cities welcoming Rock the Bells, I’d be surprised not to see you there.

Arcade Fire have announced the release of their new album titled Suburbs out August 3rd on Merge.  I dig the album art!

Let’s take a break from music and acknowledge the passing of one of film’s most interesting people.  Dennis Hopper portrayed some of coolest yet most sinister characters.  From his roles in Easy Rider to Blue Velvet, the late actor left an iconic legacy.  He will be missed.

Tomorrow night, in preparation for his new album King of the Beach (due early August), Nathan Williams will bring Wavves to the small, vinyl-only record store Origami (located in Echo Park on Sunset Blvd.).  The event will be very intimate.  For now, enjoy one of my favorite Wavves pieces below:
