Jessie Ware – “Wildest Moments”

Jessie Ware’s most pop-oriented offering yet will no doubt have you thinking of Florence Welch’s echoing contralto with the ethereal background of Beyonce’s “Halo.” The song’s about a volatile love, full of everything, good and bad, with a distinct 90s r&b they-don’t-know-about-us sass in defense of a relationship that doesn’t always feel right but ends up feeling good, most of the time. The steady delivery is almost as if from within a trance, convincing and pleading at the same time.

The British singer’s album Devotion is out August 20.
