One listen through Deer Tick’s past discography makes them an easy sell to anyone who enjoys cheap beer and a bar room shuffle with a pretty girl. But ask any die hard fan and they’ll tell you- you gotta see them live to really fall head over heels. Thus high hopes are held for the boys upcoming release Divine Providence (out 10/24) which perhaps best captures the beautiful debauchery that is a live Deer Tick hootenanny. “Miss K” the lead single, is one hell of a good time about a girl who…well, knows how to have a good time. With a guitar that begs for some sort of a shimmy and a sweet melody that twists around McCauley’s wonderfully salty vocals- it’s a song that gets people out of their booths and out dancin’ on the dirty bar room floor.
