I don’t want to say that Young Galaxy’s “Peripheral Visionaries” is easy listening, because the term carries stigmas attached to late night soft rock radio stations. But, by “easy listening” I am referring more to the absolutely mellow groove of the track that so smoothly whisks you away. You can’t help but find yourself on some sort of late-night, open-road drive, looking out at a city that is anything but the calm that the song induces. The trade off of male and female vocals create perfect shifts that move the song along, and reach a spacey bliss when they eventually come together. It’s a track meant for the minute you leave the party, for the minute you turn your mind off and drive home to come crashing in your bed.
