Los Angele’s Princeton seemed to take a break in 2010 following their 2009 debut while twin brothers Jesse and Matt Kivel explored other opportunities. First, Jesse found success with the Indie blog hit Kisses. Second, Matt teamed up with Warpaint’s Julia Bembenek and drummer Stella Mozgawa for Mystery Claws. Oh ya, and they also spent some time together playing in Sleeping Bags (lol).
2011 finds the Kivels finally returning to Princeton, rejoining keyboardist Ben Usen and drummer David Kitz. The quartet will be releasing their sophomore LP later in 2011, but Hit City U.S.A. is dishing out a limited edition maroon colored 7 inch with the A-Side “To The Alps,” a dreamy, sunbathed pop song. To go along with the release, there’s also new video featuring none other than dancing roller bladers. Sweet!
