Zonoscopes opener “Need You Now” begins the album with a bang. Cut Copy builds up layers and layers of synthesized tension only to let it go all at once with one loud, late gasp for air. Australian contemporaries Architecture in Helsinki take the song and relieve it. Dan Whitford no longer sounds emotionally challenged. Instead, he sounds relaxed.
