Stones Throw artist Aloe Blacc’s “I Need A Dollar” will be mostly be known as the theme song to the new HBO series “How to Make it in America,” a New York rendition of “Entourage” which sadly lacks both the humor and wit of its predecessor. Still, Blacc’s lead single for his upcoming album Good Things packs plenty of substance and does well to match the series’s focus on the ongoing American struggle. The song is filled with plenty of soul and is especially suiting for today’s American listener. You can get the 12″ single in April or wait to pick up Good Things later in 2010.
